HONORE DAUMIER (French 1808-1879) A SATIRE LITHOGRAPH NEWSPRINT FRAGMENT, "Voyage en Chine: Hotel de la Marine," signed in monogram in plate, plate number 4, January 21, 1844, published for Le Charivari, a Chinese hotel proprietor stands with a Frenchman studying a bill, text verso. 12" x 9" Note: See accession number: 1963.30.29580 in the collection of the Fine Arts Museum of San Francisco.
Condition
A tear with loss in upper left corner, tone throughout the paper, light to medium in saturation, creases, stains in lower right corner, text visible and with texture from back, otherwise in good to very good condition, wear commensurate with age.
