About half are in color, a few are just single pane and without paper edge protection. Some are captioned either on labels or in the negative.

Fascinating photographic record of a mission by the Lutheran Pastor George Bayard Young to the Middle East, with a number documenting the internment, deportation, and genocide of the Armenian Christian minority. Others are of Constantinople, the Turkish countryside, etc. Of the Armenian-related slides, 10 are in color, and are in unusually good condition. Added to the lot is a glass slide of Japan, and one of the Statue of Liberty.
