Item Details

Description

Both slides are marked with the two line, two block patent date and address marking on the left side and marked AUTOMATIC COLT / CALIBRE 45 RIMLESS SMOKELESS". Each has the extractor, one has both front and rear sights while the other is absent of the rear sight. The 5" barrel is blue with bright chamber and unmarked

Condition

Both are excellent plus with 95% plus bright original finish remaining on the slide missing the rear sight, showing high edge wear, numerous light scratches and a few small areas of minor spotting. The other slide retains approximately 90% with an area just below the port that has flaked and now shows a smooth brown patina, some minor flaking and light spotting on the opposite side and overall numerous light scratches and high edge wear. The barrel retains 90% of the original blue finish. Writer has never seen a loose 1907 Colt slide, let alone two!
