A George III sterling silver salver, London 1795 by Timothy Renou (reg. 11th Feb 1792)
Of circular form with cavetto edge reeded rim, raised on four reeded splay feet with, the field centre engraved with a quartered coat of arms with label of difference for a first son, surmounted by a crest of issuing from a ducal coronet a dragons head encompassed with flames. Fully marked to reverse.
Diameter – 20.5 cm / 8 inches
Weight – 400 grams / 12.8 ozt
