A George III sterling silver waiter, London 1791 by John Wakelin & William Taylor (reg. 25th Sep 1776)
Of oval form with cavetto edge and moulded rim. The field edged with a bright-engraved foliate band, all raised on four moulded feet, the centre engraved and punched with a crest of an eagle holding a cross crosslet fitchée in the claw. Fully marked to the reverse.

Weight – 267 grams / 8.6 ozt
