Description
Extremely fine example of the largest size art glass lamp made by Swallowtail Studios. Joe Clearman'Â was a self-taught glassblower from California, initially working at the Swallowtail Studios hippie artist'Â commune in Petaluma, an early practice ground of the Grateful Dead. He later moved to Port Gamble, Washington and continued his art there. His art glass lamps are sought after examples of West Coast art glass, finely finished with the highest quality standards. This size reportedly cost $1,000 in the late 1980s when he began production, and few were ordered outside of the finest collections. Approximately 30 in. tall x 17.5 in. Wide.
