Provenance: Ex-collection Alma Thompson, New York/Miami. Acquired from the latter by the owner's family, circa 1980-90. According to the consignor, Alma Thompson (who may now be deceased) was friendly with a collector in Albuquerque, New Mexico, who knew Martin when she lived in Cuba, New Mexico. How the present lot was ultimately acquired by Alma Thompson is not known.
