Herschede mahogany tall case nine tube clock after R.J Horner New York, executed in the Renaissance taste, having reclining putti surmounting the brass and silvered dial with moon phase window, seconds hand, and Arabic markers, centering the two relief carved male figures, the lower case with a single door decorated with winged griffins, garland swags, and figural reserves, opening to the pendulum, tubes and weights, sides of the case also highly carved with conforming detail, the lower case with winged griffins and a northwind medallion, the whole rising on paw feet, 106"h x 25"w x 21"d
