Civil War love letters & envelopes 1863-1864, Four hand-written letters with three envelopes, and two additional period envelopes, includes Feb 23, 1863: love letter from Ada Parmenter to "Mac", near the end she references " Dear brother George has been very sick...since the Regt. left Memphis; July 25, 1863: love letter from B. H. Eckson to Ada; Aug 11, 1863: from Ada to "Dear Boyd", a sorrowful letter, "my precious brother has gone to swell the already numberless catalogue of martyred freemen..."; Jan 26, 1864: from Eckson to Ada, in which he says he has a few weeks left of school, and he asks Ada to be his wife if he comes to Illinois."
