Made by the J. Barton Smith Company Philadelphia, Pennsylvania - Circa 1890 The only mechanical bank produced by J. Barton Smith Company of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania circa 1890. The bank was originally marketed as “French’s Automatic Toy Bank”. The heavier the coin, the more revolutions the boy will make. Made of Cast Iron. Fine Condition. Right Side of top plate cracked apart, but present. Two tiny cracks in base plate.
