Near East/Holy Land, Byzantine Empire, Heraclius, ca. 610 to 640 CE. 5th officina, year 12 (638 to 639 CE). Gold solidus. Obverse: Heraclius with Heraclius Constantine and Heraclonas all crowned, all standing and holding cross on globe. Reverse: cross on three steps; monogram of Heraclius in left field, ligature IB in right field, CONOB in exergue, officina "E". Compare SB 767; DO 41; MIB 48. Size: 0.8" W (2 cm); 4.4 grams
