Clivia Calder Morrison (American 1909- )- bronze sculpture, "Odalisque" signed Clivia AP on verso, very good condition. 10''L x 7-1/4"H bronze only, overall including the base 9"h x 12"w x 5-1/2"d.
Clivia Calder studied with Samuel Cashwan at the Detroit Society of Arts and Crafts and with William Zorach in New York at the Art Students League. She was the ceramic supervisor for the WPA/FAP in Michigan and received numerous commissions under the Project, including Sea Nymph (1938) at the Michigan League in Ann Arbor and Children Reading (1938) at MSU.
