Description
Two Fine Japanese Blades 1) Signed Showa-era blade in shirasaya mounts, 33 3/4" OAL, 25 3/8" live edge, straight hamon, silver finished copper habaki. The tang bears an arsenal stamp (appears to be Seki Arsenal), one mekugi-ana, and a long signature on the left side. The mounts are fair, and the blade is very good, with some scratches, spots, and edge nicks. 2) Japanese sword with military mounts, 35" OAL, 24" blade, straight hamon, fine metal grain, gold plated habaki. The hilt has a single mekugi-ana, and two symbols on the right side, appears to be 20th century or later. The mounts are good with mild wear, the blade is very good with a few minor spots and scratches.
