A JAPANESE PARCEL GILT AND CARVED WOOD FIGURE OF AMIDA BUDDHA, with tightly curled hair centering the usnisha, above a downcast solemn expression and wearing loosely fitting robes with red painted folds, while seated in vajrasana on a stylized lotus throne and hands in the Chubon Chusho mudra. Height: 17.00" Width: 9.00" Depth: 7.00"
Condition
Worn gilt areas and surface buildup as well as remnants of gold foil in crevices throughout. The figure is pegged to the lotus throne.
