Roman Glass Head Pendant
Eastern Mediterranean, circa 3rd-1st Century B.C.
Possibly from Egypt, translucent amber in color, molded in a two-piece mold with a suspension loop above. The head depicts a Negroid youth with prominent cheekbones and brows, a broad nose, full lips, tightly curled hair, and a long neck.

Provenance:
Formerly in an English Collection, England, since the 1970s.
Condition:
Nose partially chipped, otherwise intact. A very fine example.
