Pre-Columbian, Bolivia, Bolivian Highlands, Lake Titicaca region, Tiahuanaco (Tiwanaku) culture, ca. 600 to 900 CE. A hand-built pottery bowl with flared walls, a thick rim, a shallow basin, and a trio of tab-shaped feet. The orange-slipped bowl is decorated with zigzagging lines within the basin, panels of abstract linear motifs on the feet, and spiraling swaths along the exterior in vibrant red and black pigment. Size: 7.375" W x 3.9" H (18.7 cm x 9.9 cm).

Repair to one side of upper body with light restoration, resurfacing, and overpainting along break lines. Minor nicks and abrasions to rim, body, and feet, with fading to original pigmentation, and light encrustations beneath base. Nice earthen deposits and light manganese blooms throughout.
