Description
Arctic, Native American/First Nations, Inuit people, ca. early to mid 20th century CE. A large polar bear tooth, fossilized into a rich brown color, and polished on one side to form a face for artwork. This face has been decorated with etched figures engaged in a variety of tasks - hunting with a net and bow, paddling a vessel, and wrestling. Size: 3" W (7.6 cm)
