Title:Original Indian Wars 1874-1890 PA National Guard Belt w/ NGP Buckle Description by Chris:This is a genuine 1874-1890 Indian Wars leather belt with Pennsylvania National Guard belt buckle. Leather belt is complete & buckle plate depicts oval NGP & was intended for troops of Pennsylvania. It is marked 55 on back of plate & stamped 851 on the female counterpart. Our auction estimate on this piece is 10-10000. Provenance:This piece comes to us from the Greenberg estate, an 85 year old retiree from New York with an amazing collection of Judaica, antiquities, and antiques, most with original receipts and certificates of authenticity.Maker:US government Condition:Metal shows some mild surface wear & some toning / patina consistent with age. Leather is worn with considerable surface crazing / flaking, but no breaks or tears. Stitching is sound & it remains moderately supple. Hallmarks:55 & 851 (on buckle)Approx Dimensions or Size:Belt is 1-3/4 inch wide & is approx. 33 inches when clasped.
