Description

DAZZLING Vintage 1870's Victorian Silk Mosaic Flower Garden Antique Quilt!
This BEAUTIFUL silk and velvet (at the corners of each block is one black velvet piece) flower garden quilt is precisely hand pieced and tied (not quilted) at the corner of each piece. The hexagon pieces measure 3/4" per side.

It measures 62" X 78" and is in good condition, with varying degrees of fabric deterioration in approximately 10% of the silks (mostly on the back).
The back is a beautiful early silk fabric, the front and back are stitched together right at the edge ("knife edge"), and the batting is thin.
