Description
Three vellum pages with hand written Latin text, the top of the first page is illuminated, with James I's title in Latin, initial portrait, heraldic symbols including Emblem of France, Tudor Rose, Emblem of Ireland, and the phrase "Beati Pacifici", allegorical virtues of Faith and Charity, along with floral and foliate decoration. The document is dated December 6th, 1616, signed by Francis Edgeworth, and includes The Great Seal of James I of England, Scotland, France, and Ireland, cast in wax with silk cords.
Dimensions: The pages are from 22 1/2" to 27" in length, and 28" wide, the Seal is approximately 4 1/2" in diameter, the frame is 91 1/2" x 43 1/4", 2" thick.

Condition
Creases, some losses, stains / soiling, pencil marks. The Great Seal has significant losses. Not examined out of the frame.
