**Originally Listed At $100**

Amazon River Valley, Peru, Shipibo, ca. 1950 to 1970. A fine ceremonial rattle with a deer antler handle, three sections of circular pony beads in hues of white, yellow, and turquoise, and two hanging areas with large turkey feathers and folded brass caps. The rattle is bound in beige-toned leather; one side displays three concentric circles and eight encircling dots in black and red, the other is unadorned, and both halves are bound by sinew. Several desiccated kernels of corn comprise the rattle beads and, when shaken, produces a bright and raspy sound. Size: 15.5" L x 4.5" W (39.4 cm x 11.4 cm).

One turkey feather has broken off. Handle has chips on the terminal, minor separation along bound leather borders of rattle, and earthen deposits within recessed areas of pony beads.
