Ten Luigi Mayer (1755-1803) aquatints, circa 1802-03, published by R. Bowyer Historical Gallery, many (if not all) by Sir Robert Ainslie. Each depicts a different scene of Greece, Egypt, Lebanon and more. 1) A Maronite Monk and Pilgrims. 2) Women of Carmania. 3) A Bedoween Man and Woman. 4) A Lady of Cairo. 5) An Egyptian Peasant and Family. 6) A Egyptian Bey. 7) An Ancient Sarcophagus of Basaltes, Called the Lovers Fountain. 8) View of the Nilometer. 9) An Egyptian Peasant and Family. 10) A Greek Caloyer. Five measure 17.875-in. x 12.625-in., five measure 18.375-in. x 12.625-in. All unframed, loose and not mounted or glued down.
