26 x 17 in. (sight), 33 1/2 x 26 in. (framed). Ink on paper dated 1957. Surrealist subject. From a Washington DC estate. Framed under glass. Aldemir Martins (born in Ceará on November 8, 1922; died in São Paulo on February 6, 2006) was a Brazilian artist. He is noted for paintings, drawings, and illustrations which depicted the flora and fauna of his native state. This piece is one of those drawings. He has works in the Museum of Modern Art in New York City.
