Description
An Egyptian steatite scarab in silver pendant. The scarab, Late New kingdom, c. 1200 - 1075 BC, a nice Ramesside example with a seated pharaoh holding a crook and flail, a smaller figure representing a subject or captive before. It is mounted with a silver suspension loop that runs through the scarab’s original hole. 15 x 11 mm. Ex New Jersey private collection.
