Central Asia, Sino-Tibetan, ca. early to mid 20th century CE. A beautiful cast-brass statue depicting the White Tara (or Sitatara), the Mother of all Buddhas who represents truth, wisdom, and purity. She stands on an integral ovoid plinth, her right hip extended outward, with her left hand held in a protective mudra and her right in a wish-granting mudra. This figure is cast in a style which was quite prevalent 16th century Tibet so as to fully display the inherent beauty of the White Tara. Size: 4.625" W x 12.625" H (11.7 cm x 32.1 cm).

Condition
Minor nicks to base, body, arms, and head, light softening to some finer details, with light encrustations, and some darkening to brass color, otherwise intact and very good. Light earthen deposits and nice patina throughout.
