Description
A nice Roman glass flask with lovely iridescence, c. 1st - 3rd Century AD, in near colorless glass, the round body with flattened sides and a V-shaped profile, the narrower side at bottom. The neck is long and cylindrical with light indentation around base and the flared mouth with inward folded rim. H: 5 3/4 in (14.7 cm). A very attractive example with some surface encrustation and multicolored iridescence on the entire piece, with flashes of orange predominant on the body. Ex Southern California private collection.
