1825 Vintage Decorative Advertising Broadside for "Upper Canada Daily Line of Mail Coaches & Steam-Boats"
June 6, 1825-Dated, Decorative Printed Advertising Broadside for, "Upper Canada Daily Line of Mail Coaches & Steam-Boats," Published by Packard & Van Benthuysen, Albany (NY), Fine.
This original black printed large Advertising Broadside which measures about 13" x 15.25" and is fully intact, being laid down on mat board for prior display. This classic Advertising is for H. Dickinson & Co. in Montreal, Canada and it lists the Summer schedule for Steamboats and Mail coaches for trips from Montreal to Prescott, and from Niagara to Montreal. At the top of this Broadside is a wonderful large period Engraving measuring about 3.5" x 10.5" of a Mail Coach with classy passengers being driven by Coachman whipping a 4-horse hitch at a speedy full gallop traveling through the countryside. A period early Steamboat is shown sailing on a river in the background. Overall, a nice looking original piece for framing and display.
