Tibetan Buddhist Ceremonial Horn, or 'rag gshog-ma', a musical instrument believed to banish evil spirits, 20th c., consisting of a polished left-handed sacred chank or 'divine conch' shell with silver plated copper frame and attached silver plated wing, wing repousse decorated with a sea dragon, with lotus flower center set with red coral embedded in shell wall, 9" x 6" x 3". Good condition. Provenance: From the estate of Maurice F. Granville, Jr., Rockport, ME.
