The Heuer Autavia name is a portmanteau of the words "automotive" and "aviation". The reference was designed to be a super legible tool primarily for auto racing. This is a first execution 2446C in a compressor-style case. Its bold rotating tachymeter bezel, a classic reverse panda dial, pump pushers, and coveted Valjoux 72c movement make this a racing tool icon of the 1970s.

Dial in pristine condition; hands with signs of age. Luminous material in the dial and hands fully intact, aged to a beautiful creamy color, and appears original to the watch. Bezel in excellent condition. Case likely unpolished and in excellent condition with few light scratches. Movement running at time of cataloging. Overall in excellent condition.
