Notes/Literature: This lot available for inspection at the gallery 9am-4pm, Monday through Friday. The lack of a signature indicates a post-1863 restrike, as the original reverse die, carried over from the Buchanan medals, broke after a few impressions and a duplicate lacking the signature was produced.
