Unusual Folk Art fish decoy: jointed wood body

Item Details

Description

This is an unusual fish decoy with a jointed wood body and metal fins. It is painted dark red with cream and black. The paint appears to have been sanded down to give it a more mottled, lifelike appearance. It measures 14Â 1/2" long by 4" wide by 4" high, in very good condition with minor rusting of the fins. The age is unknown, probably late 20th c.
