Item Details
Description
Showing 2 women under a bar doing a pose. Drawings in crayon, ballpoint ink, and markers on white paper. Each is approximately 11" by 17" in generally very good condition. If you need to know the exact dimensions or other details of a particular drawing please ask.

Lewis Smith's work is in museums and galleries and collectors in many countries. He lived most of his life in the woods of Ohio, alone after the death of his mother. Lewis Smith passed away in 1998. His drawing, writing, and painting on recycled paper, cardboard, and the walls of his house and buildings reflects his preoccupation with muscular women boxers and wrestlers, trains, time, and money. Lewis was prolific. He drew and wrote, sometimes combining the two. His art includes pieces on Brown paper bags, white paper, cardboard, cracker boxes, sketches, and themes of Muscle women, diners, money, alleys, animals, time, and writings.
