The canvas has been cut down and wax relined. The canvas has been heavily varnished; was not examined under black light. Robert Robinson was an American illustrator and the originator of the "Saturday Evening Post's" "Slice of Life" style of cover art; which was later popularized by Norman Rockwell. Robinson also created cover artwork for the Hearst Corporation and the "Motor Magazine" from 1926-1952 when he passed away.
