A very scarce translation of Lanzi's original text, this work recounts the history of Italian painting from the Revival to the end of the eighteenth century. The indices volume is part of the set.
Condition / Notes: This handsomely bound set shows well, with some typical indications of age and wear, including shelfwear and rubbing, particularly to the spines and high points. The bindings and text blocks are sound. Several hinges have been expertly reinforced. Text is clear and crisp on quite clean pages.
