Fine portrait of a girl with colorful parrot, wild roses, and oriental carpet, oil on canvas laid down on masonite, remnant of signature with date to column at left "?? 1697". Approx. 36" x 29.5" (framed), 31" x 24.5" (stretcher). Provenance: From a prominent Private Collection, Atlanta, Georgia.

Examined under black light, inpainting on face and hand. Scattered inpainting from losses to edges of board. Canvas laid down on board and with thick varnish coat. Speckled smaller retouches visible under blacklight throughout. Cracquelure evident but paint layer stable without signs of lifting.
