Raoul Dufy (French, 1877-1953). Untitled, Chevaux a Deauville - landscape with figures depicting onlookers at a horse race below a hillside town. Watercolor and gouache on paper. Signed lower right. Approx. 26" x 32" (frame), 19.25" x 25.25" (sight). Note: A previously unlisted work of art from the artist's series capturing the horse races at Deauville. This work strongly resembles in both subject and vantage point No. 910, "Le Paddock et la Pelouse a Deauville", No. 906, "Cheval et Jockey a Deauville" - 1939, as well as "La Pelouse Deauville" - 1939 as sold by Christie's New York, Sale 1542, Lot 130. Reference: Fanny Guillon-Laffaille. Provenance: From the Estate of Amanda Wolleswinkel (Amsterdam; Monaco); by descent.
