This lot consists of a hand painted mixed media (ink and gouache) on sheet music paper, hand signed "Dali" at bottom right of composition. The butterfly depicted in this picture is covered in lovely detail. Specks of red flash against the velvety black of the insect's outstretched wings, with brilliant flares of electric blue to accentuate and draw the eye across every organic detail. Done in the expressive, Post-Impressionist style of Salvador Dali (Spanish, 1904-1989), on the blank side of a scrap of antique sheet music. This unframed piece measures approximately 7" x 10.5".
