Description

Pair Antique Art Nouveau Bronze Urns,Ormolu Garniture Urns, Bronze Vases, Vessels, Cache Pots, Poss 19th Century. Possibly French, Possibly Louis XVI, poss 19th Century. Possibly Napolean III, A powerful pair of vases with intricate classical castings set symmetrically across all surfaces, these are a most fine strike point for a mantel or hallway console. The intricate relief of female masks on either side are flanked by furls of draped fabric that continues around the perimeter over deeply cast base. Each handle is adorned with Scroll and acanthus leaf motif. The body of the vases is a most intricate display of acanthus and other foliage in raised-relief over a plinth embellished with figural masks over foliage. The patina is a mix of light browns, golden hues and brassy undertones with rubbing. Bronze Mantle Pieces. Measures approx 17 inches tall x 8 inches wide.
