Wearing an extraordinary alligator mask with large medial feathered crest, arms terminating in tassels, crisscross bands across chest and back, ornamented breechcloth, leg bands. Orange-buff ceramic. West Mexico. Circa 250 B.C. - A.D. 250. {Approximate dimensions: Height 13 3/4 inches.} Provenance: the Peter G. Wray collection, Scottsdale, AZ; a private collection, Northern California.
