Japanese Black and Gilt Lacquer Kimono Tray on Stand
Meiji period, ca. 1900, the rectangular-form tray with rounded corners and steep sides, decorated with floral mons amid a stylized scrolling foliate design, with fitted gilt bamboo-style stand having eight tapering legs terminating in neat out-turned feet, joined by double X-form stretchers.

Condition
In overall very good, approaching excellent, condition.
The tray exhibits some subtle spotty variation of color in the background and some minor rubbing to the
outer sides. The gilt decoration is in near pristine condition.
The base is tight and sturdy, exhibiting no movement in the legs. It exhibits normal minor rubbing and
wear to the gilt. The tray fits quite snugly in the base.
