Description
An Edwardian silver hot water pot, of plain bellied form with foliate reeded rim, stained wood handle and carved knopped finial, raised upon an oval footed base. Hallmarked London 1908, maker's mark slightly distorted probably Josiah Williams & Co (George Maudsley Jackson & David Landsborough Fullerton). Height measuring 7 2/8 inches (18.5 cm), gross weight 13.3 ozt (413.9 grams).
Condition
In overall good condition, the lot displays general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. Would benefit from a clean and polish. Construction seams visible. Dirt residue to the interior. Maker's mark partly distorted, other hallmarks clear and legible, partial hallmarks to the lid.
