Description
19th century. One of 60 crafted for William Courtney of Charleston, South Carolina and having belonged to John Laurence Manning or Wade Hampton II. Good overall condition the pitcher having a small hairline at the bottom side which is very tight and minor. Some crazing to surface consistent with age and use. H 7 7/8" Note: The piece has been passed down through the family and now resides in the private collection of Kitty Sutton of Columbia, South Carolina a direct descendant of John Laurence Manning.
