Ancient Greece, ca. late 5th to 4th century BCE. A wonderful set of three mold-formed terracotta votive heads meant to be left as offerings at a temple or a shrine. The heads depict elegant feminine visages with wavy hair set beneath a diadem, delicate almond eyes, petite noses, and full lips. Each head is drilled through the bottom for mounting, making this a fabulous addition to any collection of ancient art! Custom museum-quality display stands included. Size of largest (red-orange): 1.5" H (3.8 cm); 3" H (7.6 cm) on included custom stand.

Condition
Each head was likely part of a set of larger statues. Red-orange head has wear to face and neck line with some old mounting material along neck. Each head has age-commensurate surface wear, fading to finer facial features, and some minor chips along neck lines and faces. Light earthen deposits throughout.
