Chinese jade vase. Round disk shaped body rising upward to a thin waisted neck with a dome shaped lid with finial. Two handles found flanked at the sides with free flowing rings. Exterior covered in floral uniform details. Translucent pale jade with a moist appearance that perfectly reflects light off its smooth surface and edges.

Jim Francis was a true scholar having a degree in English his early career started as a professor at a community college in Kentucky. During the Vietnam era he became an instructor for the US Air Force. When computers first started becoming popular Jim became a software engineer which lead him to a career in being a method analyst for a major hospital group. While working with Doctors from different cultures Jim became an avid collector of Chinese items, His widow has placed his treasured articles to be sold at auction.
