CONDITION
Good Condition
This is an original Oil Painting On Board by a California listed artist Arthur Gottardo Fidele Ponziano Piazzoni (1872 - 1945), in circa 1916 dated. 1908. His mural work reflected his belief in the integration of art and architecture, and one of his most well-known public accomplishments was the fourteen large murals for the grand staircase of the San Francisco Public Library. Completed in 1932, the five murals depicting "The Land" and five more depicting "The Sea" were recently painstakingly removed from the old Main Library, restored, and installed at the new de Young Museum in San Francisco.
