Arthur Floyd Gottfredson was an American cartoonist best known for his defining work on the Mickey Mouse comic strip. Hired as a short-term replacement on the fledgling Mickey Mouse daily strip in 1930, Floyd Gottfredson went on to draw the feature for the next 45 years and influence generations of cartoonists and storytellers.
