British/Continental, 19th/20th century, primarily lacquer boxes with painted portraits and landscapes including one round, man with beard, 3-1/2 in., loss on side of lid, cracks; three round female portraits, 2-1/2 in. to 3 in.; three with religious motifs, 2-1/4 in. to 2-1/2 in.; rectangular with Persian figures, 4 in.; round with profile of man, 2-3/4 in.; two with figures, 2-1/2 in. and 3-1/4 in., unless otherwise noted, all with wear, scratches and fading
