Description

Masted ship with crewman on top deck, with flying American flag. Illegible name lower left, and Brunswick, Maine. Also, pencil signed on edge of painting: Tennyson? Dated 1865. Period Birdseye Maple frame. 22" high x 36" wide. Frame 27 1/2" x 42".

Condition

Relined, possibly older replaced stretcher, under blacklight , light inpainting between 2nd and 3rd mast, otherwise good condition.
