Johnson. Later typed partial inscription reads Capt. Francis Johnson/(father) of Francis M. Johnson/(bor)n Kingston, Mass in 1798/(Marri)ed Lucy Brewster a direct/(desce)dant of Elder Brewster first/? of the Mass. Colonies., in brass frame, 2 3/8 x 3". Elder or William Brewster (1560-1644) was a passenger on the Mayflower and became a senior elder and leader of tbe Plymouth community. Captain Francis Johnson, later Major of militia was one of the officer in charge of the troops that marched in review for the visit of Lafayette at Boston.
