First Telephone made by L.M. Ericsson, 1878
Stamped with: "2000V - 199SE - Numa Peterson, Stockholm". This is one of the very first Ericsson telephones from 1878-79. It is more or less a copy of the Siemens telephone, with the addition of some improvements carried out by Ericsson. Ericsson begun repairing telephones, telegraphs and scientific instruments in his workshop leading to the construction of his own telephone in 1878. One of the customers was Numa Peterson, an importer and agent for cameras, telephones and other items. This company also represented the Siemens Co. and sold their telephones. It is difficult to tell why this Ericsson phone is marked Numa Peterson, as they are normally marked Ericsson, however it is arguably one of very few marked in this way. Very few "butter stamps" were produced: 36 units in 1878 and 74 units in 1879. Production lasted until 1882 but the later models have instructions printed at the base of the phone and they are also numbered. Der Grund könnte sein, daß Ericsson sich am Anfang nicht viel um Patentschutz usw. sorgte. Wie auch immer, dieses Telephon ist wahrscheinlich das einzige, das mit dieser Markierung bekannt ist. Sehr wenige "Butterstamps" wurden hergestellt: 36 Einheiten im Jahr 1878 und 74 Einheiten 1879. Die Produktion dauerte bis 1882, aber die späteren haben gedruckte Anleitungen auf dem Sockel des Telephons und sind numeriert. Die Anrufpfeife fehlt an diesem Telephon. Anrufpfeifen wurden von einem deutschen Hersteller aus Bakelit und Messing produziert. Holz mit leichter Beschädigung (geklebt) und Ausbruch.
